It wasn’t very long ago that if you were an oxygen user requiring a pulse setting over 5, you had to carry a machine that was in the 20 pound range. Not anymore! Introducing the Arya Airtivo Max! This portable and innovative concentrator is the latest release from Arya Biomed.
The Airtivo Max comes with everything you will need to travel, enjoy a night out on the town, and maintain your dignity and independence.
The package you receive contains:
Smallest and Lightest Concentrator
Many patients with COPD and other chronic respiratory conditions often suffer from fatigue. Carrying around any extra weight can add to that fatigue so oxygen users have eagerly anticipated the release of the Airtivo Max as it weighs in at just 4.37 pounds and is just 6.3 inches tall and 8.7 inches wide, making it the smallest and lightest machine to go up to a pulse setting of 6.
Small in Size but BIG on Performance
Airtivo Max may be small and lightweight but packs a big punch when it comes to performance. In addition to 6 pulse settings, the extended life battery can provide up to 4.8 hours on a setting of 2. Please keep in mind that factors such as breathing rate and air temperature can affect battery life so it’s best to always carry extra batteries and your chargers, while you’re out and about.
Traveling with Oxygen
The extended life battery makes even international travel possible. The Airtivo Max is FAA approved for air travel and it's small stature makes it a great choice for travelers. Keep in mind that most airlines require 150% battery life to flight time. For instance, if your flight is 2 hours, they would like you to have 3 hours of battery life. If your flight time is 4 hours, they require 6 hours of battery life.
Especially if you plan to travel with your concentrator, you may also consider getting an external battery charger. An external charger allows you to plug one battery in and leave it charging at home or in your hotel room. You can then return to a fully charged battery so that you can swap them out quickly and be out having fun once again without missing a beat.
Pulse Mode and Auto Pulse
Pulse machines are triggered by the user’s breathing but the Airtivo Max is also equipped with what is known as auto-pulse mode. As we drift off to sleep our breathing naturally becomes slower and shallower. We are also more likely to breathe through our mouths. You'll never have to worry about your saturation levels anytime of the day or night.
The auto pulse technology will sense less frequent and lighter breathing and compensate for this by automatically delivering a bolus of oxygen every 30 seconds to maintain proper saturation levels.
Easy to Use Concentrator
Your machine will also come with a full user manual as well as a quick start guide. Keep these guides in a safe place to refer to as needed but you’ll find that the Airtivo Max is incredibly easy to use.
The large information screen features bold fonts and is easy to read in both dim and bright light. The screen tells you which pulse setting you’re on as well as how much battery life you have left. It will also alert you if there are any problems such as a temperature warning or kinked cannula.
The machine gives you both a visual and auditory warning. There is an alarm silence button in case you are at the theater or somewhere else you don’t wish to hear the alarm. For safety reasons, we do recommend that you leave the sound on.
To change pulse setting, you'll simply press the plus or minus buttons. You’ll also notice a settings button which you may occasionally use when performing maintenance or giving information to tech support.
Cannula and Tubing
Cannula and tubing is also included. You’ll find the cannula connector conveniently located at the top of the machine. Your cannula should be changed out often to keep it soft and more importantly, to prevent illness. Consider joining our cannula membership. It will save you money and you'll never have to worry about having enough cannulas to stay healthy. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CANNULA SUBSCRIPTION
Convenient Portability
The Airtivo Max comes with its own custom carrying case that is equipped with both a handle and long shoulder strap for comfortable portability. With the machine in the case you can access all controls, as well as charging and cannula ports without having to remove it. It’s also properly ventilated to prevent overheating.
In addition to the extended life battery you will receive both an A/C and D/C Power supply. The A/C power supply will run the machine and simultaneously charge the battery. It plugs into any standard wall outlet.
With the D/C power supply you can literally drive across the country without worrying about running out of oxygen. It plugs into the D/C outlet or cigarette lighter of any car, RV, or boat.
Taking Care of Your Concentrator
The Airtivo Max is very easy to maintain. It comes with a bag of particle filters that go in the intake vent of the machine. These filters can be washed and reused but they should never be put into the machine when they are damp so have we provided you with plenty of extras.
Wash the filter with mild soap and warm water. Then set the filter aside to dry and put a dry one back into the concentrator. Once the washed one is dry, put it back in the plastic bag we have provided to keep it clean and dust free.
