Innovative yet Easy to Use
The Platinum Mobile Portable Oxygen Concentrator features a very simple and straightforward interface. The large buttons for powering on and off, silencing the alarm, and changing flow rate, are large and easy to see, even in dim light. The alert screen is backlit for ease of viewing as well.
The Platinum Mobile is also the only concentrator under 5 pounds to feature advanced online connectivity. The patented Piccolo App connects to your cell phone and alerts you to any maintenance issues, keeps you apprised of battery life, and shows flow setting.
In addition it provides real-time data to your physician. They can see how you are using the machine to ensure you’re sticking carefully to your treatment plan.
Your oxygen distributor can also access your machine via portal in case any service issues arise. Tech support can look at any error codes and gauge use time in order to anticipate any preventative maintenance that may need to be done.
Advanced Mobility
This concentrator was created with the active user in mind. As we’ve said, it’s extremely portable and lightweight. The unit comes with a custom carrying case that can be carried as a shoulder bag, cross ways messenger bag style, or as a backpack. Maintaining energy levels can be a challenge for those with COPD or other respiratory conditions. Reducing weight and providing easy transport methods are essentail for the oxygen user on the go. The Platinum Mobile itself is light to carry and has long battery life so that it’s not necessary to carry several batteries with you throughout the day.
Rugged Durability in All Conditions
As respiratory treatments become more advanced, patients are demanding more freedom and mobility, even though they require supplemental oxygen. Water and excess moisture can be damaging to your concentrator, just has with any electronics. But, when you're out and about, at some point you are going to be subjected to weather and temperature changes.
The battery chamber is located at the top of the machine to allow for battery changes without removing the machine from the case. The battery door is outfitted with reinforce seals to prevent moisture from entering. The charging port is readily accessible but faces downward to keep rain out. Drainage channels built into the carrying case keep moisture away from the concentrator.
The Platinum Mobile is also resistant to extreme temperatures. We still recommend storing your concentrator in a climate controlled atmosphere but tubing on the unit has been upgraded to resist degradation. The dual air intakes and exhausts provide maximum heat dissipation allowing the unit to function properly at temperatures up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
The concentrator's compressor is encompassed with foam which makes it both quieter and protects it from drops and jolts. Reinforced corners and cushioning help protect the unit from damage from everyday bumps and jarring.
Easy Care and Maintenance
This concentrator was designed with the HEPA filter and integrated particle filter conveniently positioned on the outside of the unit for easy changing and frequent cleaning. Keeping these filters clean and free from particulates will improve the functionality of the concentrator.
Plenty of Power
The Platinum Mobile can be plugged into a regular A/C outlet at home for both operation and battery charging. It will also run and charge using a D/C cord in a car, RV or boat. An external charger is also available so that you can charge extra batteries if you are going on a long flight, planning a long day out with friends, or just have a lot of errands to run.
The Platinum Mobile offers some one of the longest battery lives in its class. The manufacturer estimates that using the double battery configuration, a patient can expect to get up to 10 hours on a setting of one.
The batteries can also be what they call, "hot swapped" which means one battery can be swapped out with another while the machine is running so you'll never have to be without oxygen.
